There was a total of 68 people who participated in this survey, a great result in the short time frame.

Some valuable insights captured from the survey include:

• EoE can take considerable time to be diagnosed due to low awareness on EoE and its overlapping symptoms with other conditions.
• Diagnoses of EoE in adults most commonly occurs between the ages of 19 - 40 years.
• 39% of responders have experienced food impaction requiring removal at some point with 74% of them requiring hospital emergency department attendance.
• 55% of responders experience moderate to severe pain or discomfort when their EoE-related symptoms are not controlled.
• 48% of responders have moderate to severe anxiety or depression when their EoE-realted symptoms are not controlled.
